Life Groups
A Lifestyle of Community… because at Ladonia we believe that life occurs in circles not rows.
Sharing life is a core value of Ladonia as we encourage one another in their relationship with Jesus.
Life Groups typically meet 6-10 weeks at a time in the fall, winter and spring with group sizes consisting of approximately 10-12.
Please contact the church office or refer to our calendar of events to find a group that you may attend.
Adults
WORSHIP MINISTRY
Ladonia Baptist Church blends modern worship anthems with hymns. The lyrics celebrate the foundation of our faith. We invite you to be a part of our Ladonia Praise Singers chorale group as we worship the Lord together.
SENIOR ADULTS MINISTRY
Our Senior Adult Ministry is alive and active as they enjoy monthly meetings of food and fellowship together. Join them for encouragement, potluck dinners, special guest speakers, games, laughter and more!
MEN’S MINISTRY
We believe that God has called all men to be faithful fathers, husbands and leaders for His glory. At Ladonia, we seek to live out our calling through outreach to our children, elderly and widows. We also believe that men need the encouragement of one another in order to become more faithful men of God.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY
We believe in the Ministry of the Titus 2 Woman. Our focus is to encourage and edify the ladies of all ages of Ladonia Baptist. We do this through sharing & encouraging one another, through bible studies, focused events, service opportunities and participating in the WMU of the Alabama Baptist.
Youth Ministry
We believe that today’s youth will shape tomorrow’s leaders. We engage our Youth in Bible Studies, Camps, Retreats & Monthly Activities that encourage them in their Faith. They meet on Sundays as a Life Group as well as each Wednesday night upstairs in the Refuge Center.
Nursery/Children/Preschool
We believe it is Biblical to train up a child in the way they should go. We have groups for children of all ages from Wee-Ones in our Nursery to 6th grade. We provide Nursery & Children Church opportunity for all services. We engage the children at Ladonia in Bible Memory via our AWANA program, through Children’s Church, choirs, summer camps and Vacation Bible School. Our Children’s Department is very active and we would love to have you to join us.
Seasonal Ministries
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
We partner with Samaritan’s Purse to participate in their annual shoebox drive. A small shoebox can teach a child about the love of God, lead him or her to faith in Christ, inspire international pastors, and plant new churches. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out is eternal. Be part of changing lives through a simple gift.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
We believe that the next generation is important God. Therefore, each June we reach out to all the children in our community to tell them about the love of God. VBS is an exciting time for our church as we tell of the love of Jesus through games, activities, songs and crafts.
FALL FAMILY FEST
Each October Ladonia celebrates the changing season with a large family festival. Many from our community gather each year for food, music, games and of course candy for all ages. Our Fall Family Fest gives us an opportunity to show the love of Jesus through acts of service and celebration as we share the Gospel.
CHRISTMAS DRIVE-THROUGH NATIVITY
We believe that our Christian heritage is worth celebrating. Each December, (weather permitting) Ladonia displays a live nativity scene in our parking lot. Our live drive-through nativity gives everyone an opportunity to slowly view the Christmas story. Each scene is narrated and fully explained so that the real meaning of Christmas is shared.
Missionary Support
We believe the message of Jesus, His love, Forgiveness of sin and offer of eternal life should be shared with all people. Therefore, we faithfully give to support thousands of missionaries locally, regionally and around the world. Ladonia supports the work of missionaries through the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention.
